Schools
WTG offers free assistance to schools in Uganda to implement comprehensive classroom and campus-wide recycling programs as well as educational materials & resources, presentations, and trainings for staff, faculty and custodians.
Recycling Programs
WTG can provide resources to help start classroom recycling or improve the school’s existing program. We provide free waste assessments and customized, detailed reports with recommendations for implementing or improving recycling at your school. We work with the school's administration, teachers, and custodial staff to ensure long-term sustainability of the program.
In order for recycling programs to be effective, recycling bins must be paired with trash cans. Recycling Stations are provided for each canteens, dining area, teacher lounge, living quarters etc. Recycling Stations consist of a recycling poly bin, trash can and customized poster. School Awards
WTG's Schools Recycling Program incentivises schools in the Uganda that go above-and-beyond recycling with cash rewards. Learn more about being part of the program.
Students and Teachers
There’s lots to do here – people and places to visit, cool ways to reuse stuff, and activities to explore how to reduce and recycle waste.
Both students and teachers, have the ability to make a tremendous impact on waste reduction in the school. You can contribute to your school’s efforts to reduce waste by educating your students about the 3R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and by modeling these practices in your classroom.
On this website, you can find information about bringing the highly interactive and informative schools recycling program to your school.
